ah...no, we didn't do so! that's why i have these photos. we did a hike in goldstream, instead. it was deemed to dangerous and "canoe-damaging" to run the river given the extreme levels of water from all the recent rains. i did recently take out some additional life insurance, however it hasn't been officially approved. otherwise, it would have been a sure thing :)
